    Oh my, a 1984 RZV500 for sale

If I only had some (liquid) assets... Just saw this on ADVrider... It's in Cheyenne WY. What a great classic 2 stroke at a fairly reasonable price. sidebar: Didn't post in "for sale" as it's not mine and not sure if the rules permit that.

Yup! Great weather, long lost riding buddies reunited, topped by a nice 110 mile loop ride! :thumbup Some of the booty donated by the riders yesterday. Some of the riders at the lunch stop/break area. Lot of bikes out! All for a good ride. Many for a good cause as well!

Stonyford; StonyBARF 9 Weekend of September 28, 2017

The water in Lett’s Lake made me desire another dip so I headed back to camp. Switched gear and bikes (back to the TW) and headed for my swim hole. Unfortunately as I made my way over the rocks I lost balance and tipped to my right onto a rock. Took a moment to pick up and park. Then I noticed...

Stonyford; StonyBARF 9 Weekend of September 28, 2017

As I was taking a photo I heard a moto approaching from the North (swimming hole direction). I waved the rider down to warn him of the snake. The rider stopped and asked if I wanted him to take my picture. He also asked if I was with the BARF group. When I said yes he introduced himself as...

Stonyford; StonyBARF 9 Weekend of September 28, 2017

The ride took about 4 hours or so and when I got back I decided I wanted to take a dip. I had seen a nice looking swim hole near the second bridge on the dirt road heading North from Davis Flat. Just after crossing the (second) bridge take the right down to the creek. There is one wide water...

Once again I had a great time riding and recreating at Stonyford! I headed up Thursday so as to have camp set up and be settled in for a Friday-Sunday ride opportunity. I took two bikes with intent to ride different bikes on different days. The TW200 and the KTM 450 EXC. Let me jump ahead a bit...

    Spark the barf salute!

Saw this today. Thought of this nice little place in cyber space and the fine folks (and few grumps) here and had to share. Couldn't figure out which forum area to put it in... so humor it is. And yes, you too can own one. (at Amazon, HERE)

Here's a couple of shots of Gray Pine camp area. I have "suggested" a couple of parking options for the big rigs, shown in red. The blue spots are (usually) for pickups and tent campers. I think the second option would be more desirable as it will leave more space and give everyone in big rigs...

John's ride to Oregon eclipse photo's

The Eclipse… I returned to my friends Ron’s place Sunday eve. He lives near Ankeny Hill which is South of Salem (Salem address). He happens to be about ¼ mile (or less) from the center of totality. We watched from his back lot area. We had over 2 minutes of darkness. Rad. Here’s a shot of my...

John's ride to Oregon eclipse photo's

I was not initially planning to go to Oregon for the eclipse. I was living there in 1979 when the last full eclipse occurred. (Silverton, east of Salem) On the Sunday of the week before the eclipse I got notice that my father’s health was not good. I decided then and there to make a moto ride to...
