How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Furlough: A Socal-Norcal Ride Report

Here we go again! I spent the holidays in San Diego since I figured if I was quarantined and unemployed I might as well do it eating fish tacos and drinking Estrella de Jalisco on a beach. Built in a three day loop of some Socal sights I wanted to take in, and then a scenic route home, also...

Primavera! An Italian tune-up from sea to Sierra

To make the most of one last week of freedom before starting a new job, I took my half of California out of the middle. My original goal had been to traverse the Sierra and land in DV, but the passes are all still closed. So I stayed on the west side of the mountains, exploring Yosemite...

Review: Feel Like A Pro DIRT

Just did the two day camp, and thought BARF might want to hear about it. About the program: We did the Dirt Track Training, which is available for one day or two, at $300 per day and includes everything from bike to gear. It runs from 10AM - 4PM, minus a lunch break and any breaks you want to...

07-12 Hypermotard 1100 SP tail fairings / side covers

These were removed from a 1100 EVO SP in order to make way for an aftermarket exhaust. As far as I know they would fit any HM1100, not sure about the 796. The bike had about 19K miles at the time, they have mild wear and tear, I would call them 8/10. No cracks or structural defects whatsoever...

SOLD - Wolfman Expedition Dry Saddle Bags, brand new

Here is the product page for this item. These are top-quality rolltop saddlebags with a capacity of 19L per side. I believe if you roll them up properly they could go in a lake without getting the contents wet. They are ready to go around the world on a bike of your choice. Get ready for...

License plate light blowing fuse after exhaust swap

Just swapped in an aftermarket exhaust on my bike, 2010 Hypermotard 1100. I did not replace any electrical components, just removed the turn signals and plate light and swapped them onto new bracketry. Now the license plate light is blowing the fuse. I checked carefully and cannot find any...

Speedymoto 10 spoke dry clutch cover, black, for Ducati

Came on a bike I bought, I don't like the open clutch so I swapped it out. Like new condition, hard to capture in photos but it has a light blemish, nothing that putting a few miles on a brand new one wouldn't replicate. Here is where you can buy them brand new for $160. $80 for pickup in...

Aerostich Cousin Jeremy: anybody have one?

Just when I thought I had settled for myself the question of Classic vs R3, I find out about the new(?) Cousin Jeremy waxed cotton model. I can't find much on the google, seems like it is a pretty recent release. As somebody who usually prefers old-fashioned materials for the long term, I am...

WTB front calipers: Gen 1 R6/FZ6/FZ1/others

Working on an experiment/project. I am sure some barfers have a box of these old OEM parts sitting around gathering dust. Here are the Yamaha part numbers for what I am looking for, and a list I found elsewhere for the bikes they fit. Right front caliper: 5DM2580U0000 Left front caliper...

SOLD - Alpinestars back protector size L

I believe this is a superseded model of the CE2 Bio Air back protector. It is in great shape, velcro all works fine and has no smells or damage. I can't find a size label, it fits me well at 6'2" 180#, with plenty of adjustment range for somebody larger. $50, 10% to BARF. Located in SF Mission.

MTW / "Hitachi" Electrical connectors for purchase locally

This type of connector keeps showing up in wiring projects I have been doing lately. Seems to be known as a .110" aka 2.8mm aka Hitachi aka MTW aka Sumitomo type locking connector. Can be found here and here for example. I normally buy online but it is a huge hassle to get one connector here...

    Sick Mick and the Boys

So there was this pretty cool looking documentary about a homebrew attempt to set the motorcycle land speed record a couple years ago. Looks like they never really succeeded in finding distribution, so it is now a digital download. Check out the trailer, I think it is probably worth $6. 58048519

    This is your brain on....

This professional young gentleman does not seem to be himself. If somebody can figure out how to embed this I will fix the post. In the meantime I strongly encourage you to click through for a laugh.

    And on that bombshell

Guy Martin to host Top Gear? I think the show is a great gateway for neophytes into car culture, and motos could use the help. Although maybe one of his cohosts would have to play translator. Just imagine more content along the lines of the Vietnam special. I know this post is happening on...
