When in doubt gas it!
You know I saw one at the Frank Raines event and asked for one but the lady told me they did not have any extras yet but would post them soon.

Found a pink milkshake in the oil window today... Hopefully I can get the parts and get my shock rebuilt in time to check it out.

Waterpump seal! The GasGas Pro Waterpump can be removed (3 x 4mm Allen bolts) without draining the coolant or the transmission ATF (DEXRON III).

But the seal replacement requires coolant drain. If you replace the coolant , if available use Volkswagen factory coolant which was used by the GasGas Factory.

BTW - I threw a leg over Adrian's Ossa 280i today. Amazingly lightweight, and the suspension is incredible... so I'm getting a new set of forks and rear shock for my daughter. I only know of one guy (in Bakersfield) that actually knows how to revalve a trials shock - highly recommended by Adrian, and reasonable price.

Interesting Sunday: Adrian fell 30' into a ravine 1st Loop after Section 5. Good thing Bryce noticed he disappeared, and it took a couple of the Expert riders to drag his bike out. Jim drowned his Gasser in Section 7 after the event... he had to push it a mile out.

Anyone for a ride at Carnegie on Sunday AM?

Thanks for riding with us. See y'all next week. - it's a pretty exclusive club. A couple of street riders stopped by to watch and ask questions. I tried to answer their questions but until you actually ride a trials bike you really can't have a perspective. My GasGas EC300 Enduro rarely gets ridden these days; and I've sold all of my street and MX bikes which just gathered dust.

Wow!! I thought I knew how to ride..guess not, at least standing up and not dabbing. I think I dog paddled up that canyon heading into check 3. I too, like the others have a lot to learn and Im loving it! Too bad I forgot my inhaler and had to pass after the first loop due to wheezing..damn! next time. It was nice meeting everyone and yes lets ride/practice. Im looking to do the Cow Pile in Marin next anyone else ? When is BARF going to set up a Trials page ? :teeth

Hint: The Trials event we just experienced may be the closest thing in skill and fitness to an Erzberg or Romaniacs scenario... :kicknuts

I guess the Secret is out! :mad If the Dirty BARFers figure out what they're missing there won't be enough Trials Bikes in North America to meet the Bay Area demand.

On the other hand the few riders with the guts or curiosity to give it a try will either be humbled and quit riding; or discover a new motorcycling challenge and really mature as a rider.

For those of you across the Pond, the PITS BA Cup is noted as probably the hardest Trial on the PITS schedule. It is run on the Scott Trial rules (time + observation points and the loop is part of the difficulty factor) and has attracted some top riders (I rode one year with Vesty when he was in the States and the loop was so difficult about 1/3rd of the riders could not make it to the first section. It rained the night before and the muddy hill was near impossible, I fought it 3 times to finish and it almost killed me). Yjro, of course, set "standard time" and he's a rocket on the loop, I tried to keep up with him but only for a short time after seeing my life pass before my eyes several times....

The "British" in the BA Cup is Derek Belvoir and the "American" is Lane Leavitt, both got together and started the event because they like to see other riders suffer..... Actually we all looked forward to the event as it was a true test of ability and like the Ute Cup in Colorado, it was an accomplishment just to finish.
