weird....those bikes seem to have two differnt tails, even though they do seem like the same bike elsewhere.....maybe one is a factory and one a privateer?.....but they seem like team mates with the leathers and sponsors?

... and still, all I can think is "WOW" as if I was that 16 year old kid that took those pics.

I think the 500's had the yellow backing & the 250's had green, and if you were a rookie they had a letter that they added to it.

In 1980, before the billboards went up you could park & watch the race from the outside of Turn 11 (back then it was Turn 9)
