Fundamentally disagree. Your statemetn seems to assume that 100% participation is required in the social contract, which is untrue. There is probably no path forward on this disagreement as it appears to be fundamental. Neutral positions are not conflict positions.

What? He questioned the guys impact, that is not in any way supportive of racist hatred. That is like saying that the Supreme Court is supporting Racist Hatred by allowing the Illinois Nazis.

Which gets to the root of the matter. People who present positions like yours seems to be seeking the fascist agenda and a desire to no longer allow hate speech to be protected speech. You seem to be content to stand with the other book burners of history.

How do you know he pretended? If you don't know something or curious about something, then you ask questions. All Desi did was ask questions, not make a pointed statement as most of you are.

I totally would. The sink seems to get worse and worse the farther away we have gotten from the old days of the Socials. Is there a way to coordinate this with COVID safety in mind?

I hope they carry some good snacks. I don't want any of that basic 711 junk if I'm making a long trek.

I've been kinda addicted to these lately. It's a weird drink, starts off with a taste of coke, goes to a nice coffee and ends with coke. tasty.

This is exactly right.

It's helpful to distinguish between what occurred (observably) and what we think about what occurred. What occurred is Desi asked questions. What some of you think is that it implies a defense. The latter is you inducing meaning onto what occurred. You might be right and you might not be.

As far as I can tell, Desi is a guy who doesn't know as much about this culture as many of you do. His questions might well be genuine. If you assume they are rhetorical, then you'd reach the conclusions you have. But that's on you.

I have my own opinions about all this but I'll keep them to myself. In the meantime, I'm trying to take Desi's posts at face value.
