Had to go pick up my kid, so i missed almost entire draft. did notice dan and mole were in there, heard from kweezy (kyle), so i'm pretty sure at least 4 of us are participating :laughing

dropped entopic and took over management of his team, like i did season one with bacalao's team.

what i'm going to do there is just accept the ESPN recommended line-up every week. if I find out other people aren't participating I'll do the same with their teams, just to try to have some modicum of competitiveness from those teams. not going to make any roster moves for those teams unless someone is out for the year or it's necessary to field a complete team because of byes. again, i'll just do whatever espn recommends.

pretty sure darth rider didn't participate last year, he was the only team with 0 roster moves. I'll try to find out if there are other people that aren't participating. If there are enough, maybe we can have more than one team per manager, if that's something you guys are interested in. :party

thinking that's an option, might get trade vetoes though unless we have a"gentleman's agreement" on the matter.

I'm going to pm 7 people see if they're participating. I don't even know if some of these people are still on BARF

So, I haven't heard from anyone else in the last few days and no one has made any roster moves. So, I think it's just the 5 of us this season.

I'm wondering if anyone who is participating wants to manage a second team. I suppose one rule can be that you can't trade anyone to yourself.

an alternative is i just manage all the unmanaged teams the same way I'm managing robo team 1.

then next season, we reduce the number of teams to 10 and try to find some people who want to be in the league.

Got a late start this year on the league. was kind of ambivalent about it with all the COVID shit. But we can limp through this season and try to reinvigorate the league next year.

damn..too bad. thanks for following up with everyone, Max. Sure, we can work out managing those teams but I have an idea just to float out there, not necessarily that I'm married to it:

We/Max set-and-forget all the non-managed teams. Set it for week 1 and whatever happens to them, happens. This will potentially weaken non-managed teams as the year goes by, thus hopefully preventing any of them from making the playoffs. Ideally 4 of us make the playoffs and we can laugh at the one real team that didn't make it.

Also, another idea for anyone who may be looking for better competition than a 5 breathing-person team league is to port over to my pay league. $50 entry fee and $5 per trade. Reply or PM me if interested. I have room for up to 5 more if needed.

i want to keep this league going. think this season might be kind of an anomaly because of covid.

Also, good news Madji/Marlowe/Border Patrol is still in. so that brings us to six. :party

I'll see if anyone else responds over the weekend before taking over teams.

here's another idea, since there are 6 known participants, what if we each took an extra team and basically used it as a farm club: traded all the best players to ourselves to create 6 super and 6 crap teams?

you guys can look over the rosters (sith lords, new phone, p-town, worst team ever, cute cuddle bugs), pick a team, we can go in reverse draft order (so, kyle/kweezy picks first, then Dan /bowling, Dan /2nsane, mole, majdi/marlowe). I already took over a team so it would be for the remaining 5 teams.

also, i can move one team from the stabler division to the rodgers division so that each division has 2 active managers and 2 crap teams

NEVER MIND

then, next season, we cut back to 10 teams and try to get 4 more managers.

so that leaves 4 teams unaccounted for at the moment. you and mole expressed an interest in managing an extra team.

i'm just about sure darth rider is out, think he was out last year, so i feel comfortable reassigning his team, if you want to manage it.

little surprised i haven't heard from stigeon. UB & Tina? don't know.

Roboteam 5 had a pretty good robodraft. I mostly just made transactions to replace injured and bye week players.

anyway, thinking of cutting the league to 8 teams, one division, double round robin, top two teams play for the championship. maybe a 2-week cumulative championship? with 8 teams we can have bigger starting line-ups.

no, it's mole vs stigeons old team. 3 of the 4 teams in the championship bracket of the playoffs had actual managers: you, mole and 2nsane.
