All you need are riser bars and a scott damper.
You're not wrong.

Ah I just rode my KLR650 couple days ago always fun to take a ride and so utilitarian It's wide, comfortable, torquey, loud, oil guzzler, and feels like your riding a couch. Still gives me the feels when riding It needs a new topend big time though it's goes through so much oil
dude I fucking LOVE that paint scheme. Does your hair grow itself into a mullet everytime you ride it? :laughing
Are you ready to customize?
im so confused by this
the mods would make sense if it had tires suitable for some dirt. but it doesnt. I can't imagine that bike is better at anything on asphalt compared to the original.
Have you done any work to your suspension? As a fellow SV owner, an adjustable shock and cartridges go a long way when it comes to screwed up city roads. Soft for street duty, then tighten it up for weekend play dates.
2019 Tracer 900 GT.........
Funny, the guy over at CRS called it a long travel suspension and 45 mm of sag was right because of that. You cant have a tall bike without longer forks, longer forks more travel.
Compared to my 04 r1......the tracer is indeed long travel suspension.
2004 R1 has 4.7" in the front and 5.1" in the rear.
2019 Tracer GT is 5.4" in the front and 5.1" in the rear.
Not much of a difference, regardless of CRS or your sag setting.
I recall back to having my KLR and XR650L and how fun, comfortable and tall both were. Maybe something for a future purchase or trade up. The adventure/touring style middleweights are so sick. :ride
The rear on a Tracer is 5.6 inches, get it right. It still longer and it does matter no matter what you say.
You know, your kind is why I really don’t like posting on BARF. There were other requirements mentioned that the bikes suggested didn’t meet.
Both the XR650R and XR650L have more than 11" of suspension travel front and rear. You got it right for the KLR, though. The OP citied a KLR and XR650 as bikes whose suspension he missed, they're around 8"-9" IIRC.

Dion, get yourself a 2017+ 701 or 2019 SMCR!
It's like having SV power in a 330lb supermoto bike. Actually I think the motor is smoother than the SV twin.
