You guys hear about the N3 ranch that's for sale? It may become a state park.

Epic 51,000 acre cattle ranch for sale near Livermore.

My post here is because I just heard on the new that groups are trying to purchase it for a new state park. This may be a good opportunity to be at the ground floor, to ask your representatives to get on board with ensuring motorized access plans.

Here's the original sales video...

Boy Howdy! A real nahce peece o property raght thar.
Why do they need Marshall Dillon to narrate the film ?The land is in California. It would be great to have another riding area, but I don't have my hopes up.

Apparently Newsom wants to spend some money acquiring land for State Parks. Perhaps we contact our legislators and tell them this is a good idea.

Much better article...

“ The land includes 4,089-foot Eylar Mountain, skirts the east side of Mission Peak and runs up toward Mount Diablo State Park and Henry Coe State Park. It is habitat for mountain lions, coyote, bobcats, fox, elk, deer and migrating birds.

And it is huge, covering 19,935 acres in Santa Clara, 16,880 acres in Alameda, 4,590 acres in Stanislaus, and 9,095 acres in San Joaquin County. That’s bigger than San Francisco and more than twice the size of nearby Mount Diablo State Park.”

Yeah, it's a truly impressive facility. Technically, when you price it by acre, it's actually pretty cheap even!

I can support use of public money for this because opportunities like this come up so rarely. I wanted to make sure you guys knew about it so if the deal goes through, there might also be some motor vehicle enthusiast input when the reps start making use plans. I'm even curious if some of the OHV funds could be chipped in, to be sure of "having a seat at the table". So to speak.
