even more so. this is why some of my other forum title suggestions were what they were. barf has lots of members but the focus isn't on building bikes, so having a specific forum for any sub-category of customs would be... low traffic. anything someone is working on that falls under "project" can have a home here.

restoring a 1913 Superlfy Wombatcycle that your grandfather made? yes
building your next shiny chopper? yes
trying to realize your dream of making a derelict cb550 into the cafe racer you think you want to learn on? yes bad idea imo, but hey, go for it!
need to document the awesome paint scheme you came up with using only expired nail polish and free stickers from your days following the Grateful Dead? DO IT
trying to be GB500 guy and restoring an already awesome bike to a condition better than the factory delivered then riding all over the place? yes. dear dog yes please do that too.

all the projects. put them here. there will be some conflict with The Garage but.... eh. they don't pay me the big bucks for nothing.

had you not started the thread in general, it likely wouldn't have been created. the idea of a Customs or similar forum here on BARF has been floated before and while i like it i was among the chorus of "not really needed, not enough interest"

when you said your old home had gone corporate i was a little giddy. i've seen your threads over there and lamented that i'd have to sign up for ANOTHER website to keep up and thus didn't. i do hope that you share your builds here not only for my own laziness but to hopefully show new and OG barfers that there is a tremendous depth of resources here. maybe i'll finally get one of my own off the ground even. probably not.

So far the forum is a little slow. I was right in the middle of rebuilding a 2005 Yamaha Zuma 50 that I basically got as parts. Got to the point where most of the wiring was sorted and, after discovering my brand new OEM ignition switch was no good, I tried it's first electric start. Well, wouldn't you know. My Chinese starter relay belched out a big cloud of that important Smoke as the starter cranked. Oofah.
Then, right after that, my Big stupid Dawg broke my leg. So ill report back when I can get out there.

Sort of expected by me. (slow).

Few riders do this and few will actually post about it of those that do.
At least I think so.

I do enjoy the journeys though.
Some have appeared in the vintage forum, which is fine of course.
