The OHV fund continues to be a second class citizen..

The OHV fund is being treated like a wealthy person who is being over taxed and abused as such to redistribute the wealth to others that cannot create for themselves...

This is all about our Government representatives breaking the law by taking the money.. even when allowed by law with repayment made mandatory.. and taking some of it which is forbidden by the law, but somehow they circumvent the law for the greater good.

I forgot.. the Government is the law and we work for them and they lead.. and we follow.
Will anyone from the park system who did this latest violation of law..embezzlement of public funds be called to the carpet??? Or by resigning and running away will they just get let off the hook?
This is one little issue.. one close to my heart.

The OHV Trust Fund is exactly that. It is "Our Trust Fund" with monies we paid into the fund through our OHV stickers and fuel taxes.
No outside party (state government) has any right to those funds, nor does the agency (cal parks OHV div) have to report those funds back to the state. The Jerry Brown administration is stealing that money from you and I.
The fund was established to protect and foster through proper conservation the use of state lands for responsible off highway vehicle recreation. It's purpose was to make OHV recreation in this state self sufficient without burdening other resources. It has done a fantastic job, and even granted monies to federal agencies like the BLM and NF to keep OHV healthy in this state.
Bottom line; your money is being stolen right now. It took years to build that fund, now the state government is stealing it from us without our permission. It is our money, not theirs.

I think you may have it wrong. The OHV div of cal parks did exactly what they were supposed to do, protect our trust fund.
It's the money grabbing, thieving liberals like moonbeam brown who you should be angry with. They have no right stealing our money from the trust fund. We paid into it, it's ours. CalParks only did the job we asked and trusted them to do. Don't believe the spin, believe the truth. Our money is being stolen by Browns administration, not CalParks.
CalParks tried to keep Browns hands off it. They didn't hide anything, it's been there all along.
Unless the entire OHV citizenry of CA steps up and demands the trust fund be left alone, you can count on the states gov under brown to close every OHV park by 2013.

I get it.. the OHV Parks folks rock.. they have a passion for the OHV system. I was talking about the leaders of the entire system.. and the legislators that feel free to rape it (OHV Trust fund) even though it is not legal to do so. Jerry Brown did step up and at least slash the amount taken.. I am glad for that. Sure don't like that they took any, but at least a lot of that was not taken.
I am not seeing mentions from those folks on getting the system who has legally loaned the State so much any money back. I am worried they will wash their hands of it and we will be truly in disaster mode... parks closing as you say.
Banding together is the only way this is going to fight it off.. your 100% spot on there.. and we need our other two wheel folks to join in the fight too.
When in Sac last Wednesday for a State Moto deal I got word one of the larger Moto Orgs. was getting set to jump in on the OHV issues. I saw AMA Rep Nick Harris who has been helping barf gain a little traction on these things too. My good friend Butch has been talking to our Rep's a leading barf's little piece of the effort. You should has seen him throw a couple pointed accusations at Senator Simitian in our meeting.. that was cool.
We have been trying to engage our membership to get us together. We cannot figure that out yet... and it is frustrating. So many live in their own world and cannot make enough time for this or other issues that face motorcyclist. We will keep trying..
