TV HDMIs took a crap

Model: LG 47LE5400. Everything else works fine. Just no HDMIs. Tried 2 different laptops and a PS4, both direct and through a home theater receiver, and tried multiple ports. None work. TV repair place says ~$120 to fix - IF they can fix it (if not, no charge). TV is like a 2010, 2011 model. Still, even for then it has a 120hz refresh rate @ 1080p, plays pretty much anything I throw it via USB or streaming, is super lightweight, 2ms response time for gaming.

I'm debating between fixing it or buying a 55" LG SK8000 - basically the newer version, 4K, HDR, etc - for $700. It's on sale for cyber monday.

My concern is that having gone to some of these electronic repair places back in the day for Xbox 360 RROD issues, they usually ARE able to fix it...temporarily. Typically, it'd break again in a matter of months. So I dunno if it's really worth it vs just pulling the trigger on a 7-8 year newer version that'll last me another decade hopefully.

1) confirm it is not a bad HDMI cable
2) once confirmed it is a bad HDMI port, buy a new TV and give/sell this one to someone knowing what is wrong with it.
