The best way to embed a YouTube! video on BARF is to
1) Click the "Go Advanced" button instead of the "Post Quick Reply" button, then
2) Hit the red YouTube! arrow,
, above your post (you won't see it in the quick reply box - FYI), and then
3) Paste the video ID between the [YOUTUBE] and [/YOUTUBE].
To get the video ID, either:
A) If you're lucky, your video will have a URL that looks like this:
and the video ID is everything that comes after the ?v=. In this case the video ID is yTfIzWnszrw.
B) Otherwise, many YouTube! URLs have additional bits after the video ID, so there's a small challenge to extract it. If your URL has more than one = sign or includes &'s like this:
then the video ID is everything between the ?v= and the first &. Here again, the video ID is yTfIzWnszrw.
Once you have the video ID, paste it in like this:
and you get your embedded video:
youtu.be/yTfIzWnszrw
