damn those were good. I think the 2nd jumped the uncanny valley entirely for half of the faces, mostly where the skin color and voice lined up well.
I hope deep fakes are the start of people NOT believing everything they see on the internet.
I have been saying for years that within my lifetime, advances in software would cause Video Evidence to cease to become admissible in a court of law, and I think that time is near.

I suspect someone will develop software to validate video in response to deep fakes (or has already developed it). we'll have an "arms race" of sorts to make the best software to either create or debunk deep fakes. so I dont think all video evidence will ever be inadmissible. plus, the fact that its likely already illegal to use a deep fake as evidence should make it less of an issue.
