first of all i would like to thank steve for posting the link to 5150, second i would like to thank ken for writing that great how to on wheelies. i have been practicing wheelies each time i get to go ride, which isnt often enough due to weather. i was having a lot of problems with it coming up too fast or not coming up at all, after reading the article it pointed out a couple things i was doing wrong and now i can get it up a lot more controlably and keep it up a little longer(even though its only about 50 feet or so). stoppies are my next thing i guess but those scare the hell out of me cause the steering moves and i dont want to dump the bike cause it still looks new(not crunchy). another ? i know i am a long way from here but when shifting during a wheelie you dont use the clutch right??? just checking

again thanks:teeth :teeth :gmonie

No clutch when shifting wheelies. Just blip the throttle like you would if you were shifting without the clutch on two wheels. Be carefull though its easy to loop a HOO-RaH especially 1st to 2nd. Make sure your off the throttle when your shifting and drop the front a little. Good luck and I wouldn't mess around with shifting until your real comfortable on one wheel.

the 5150 site is down at the moment..however i have that article posted on my personal site as well.. click on the link below
editorial and articles

PS: im glad my article has helped you get better at your wheelies. It sucks when you have to experiment on your own without any guidance. The reason why i wrote it is for this reason exactly. It warms my heart when i hear that someone has used what little knowledge i have to offer to futher/ compliment their own. I hope my how to endo article will help you do a sucessful endo as well.
