Hey crusader,

Cool bike ... the wheels look great ... 17"s? Pic looks right here ...

Pic is my buddy Clay's '76-ish TT500 based flat-track race bike ...
you guys may have the same forks ... FZ6?

His bike has a cool remote starter set up on it now,
you can see where it spins the crank on the case ...
19" wheels, with the rear wheel drilled out around the rim to lighten it up ...

He's been racing and upgrading and fixing it for maybe
eight seasons at Lodi and has worked his way up to B class ... :ride

Super-cool bikes ... have fun with the SR,
looking forward to seeing more! :ride

That TT is bad ass and I love the remote starter idea, perfect for the track and in the garage if your just trying to get it fired up. 8 seasons is a commitment and it sounds like he's moving in the right direction if he's up in the B class.

The Wheels are 17", good catch! The forks are similar to the FZ6, these are 2000 R6. Drilling the rear wheel is a great idea, the lighter the rear wheel assembly the quicker the power can get to the ground.

I have another SR500 in the garage and I've thought about building a tracker...to run around town or at Lodi but I don't have the $$ to build two bikes right now. I do head out the a couple times each season so I'm sure I've seen the bike.

However I do have a fair stock pile of parts, heads, cylinders, etc if I ever decide to build a racer. I'll post more pictures as I get more done. Cheers!
