Anyone been down to Riverside for a SoCal Supermoto session with Bryan and the rest of his team? Planning a day down there soon - actually my first track day of any kind - and wondering if anyone has feedback, tips, etc.

Thanks!

I did the asphalt only class last month and it was really fun. You will get a lot of riding time. I will definitely do it again. Make sure you use the $30 code for your first time.

I haven't done the school however I've ridden with them in the same class/session. Fun guys and the students look like they're having a blast. A little slow for my speed but their instructors can REALLY ride. Come down!

I did it 3 or 4 years ago. If it's your first track day it's probably your best option for introduction to the track. Brian has his program all dialed in and you'll be in good hands. There was a wide variety of riding skills and he pairs everyone off well. It's pretty inexpensive as far as track times goes and since a bike is provided it's really a no brainer. Have fun and let us know how it goes.

Did the Socal Supermoto track day on Sunday. Fun time and highly recommended. The track is tricky and fun and we switched between class time and track time, so we got some good breaks in between sessions. Bikes (DRZ 400SMs and TTR 125s) were a little clapped out but worked fine and alleviated any concerns about messing them up. We had a mixed bunch but everyone was pretty respectful (for the most part) and we had no issues with the fast v. slow guys. We had Stuart (sp?) as our coach, and he did a good job The only downsides for me were (a) not enough individual coaching; and (b) track time was a little limited due to several other groups on the day. For coaching we were able to ask questions during class, but we didn't get the experience of having a coach follow us around and then give tips between sessions. As for track time, we ended up waiting a bit more than expected due to several different kart classes and other track users. Some of our group was fully knackered regardless but I was ready to keep going at the end of the day - and I clearly needed the practice! Still, highly recommended and super fun, particularly if it's not too far from you.
