I got this from a friend that moved back to Germany.

This is what he said.

"great video about motorcycliong in Baja Mexico which I always loved.. funny enough at 13 minutes and 50 seconds there is an old time member of the SFMC, John SXXXXXXX who joined the club I think while I was president of the club ..... long time ago.....maybe 24 years........

SFMC stands for San Francisco Motorcycle Club (google it it is VERY old)

enjoy that video"

Yes.. that would be SFMCjohn.

Ironic I get this just a week after his return from Baja!!!

haha ... Mr. Berndt K., nice to hear from him ... :thumbup

joined the SFMC in 1995 and the vid was taken in 2009. Think Mr. Noren must have only finished the movie recently ... someone sent me the link a couple of months ago, but didn’t say we were in it, so it was a funny suprise to see us looking younger ... :angel

there’s a bunch of scenes of Mr Noren demonstrating what I look like riding Baja ... bumping down the road tentatively and dropping the bike over and over and struggling mightily to try to pick it up ... :facepalm:laughing

thanks for posting, Budman! :ride

How long did your friend spend in the sates? What did he do for a living other then making films? At which age and why did he decide to go back?
I'm from Germany, have been in the states fro 20 years now, but have no plans to go back, but people are different. Trying to understand people's reasoning.

He was here for over a decade. Maybe two. Decided to move back to Germany after a divorce.

He is not the film maker.

We became friends via another friend and we chatted bikes often.
I did not know he was in the SFMC until today.. or I forgot. :teeth

That was really enjoyable. Reminded of Bruce Brown's style (On Any Sunday) of narration. And man, setting up the tripod, filming yourself going by and and going back to get the camera! That's a lot of work to that over and over. And :wave Cary and John
