Replacement Fork Cartridges

Major PITA
Hey Folks. I picked up a super nice 2013 VFR1200 . Great motor and electronics, decent handling and a good seating position. Only glaring downside for a Honda (technology leader) is adjustable suspension. Stock is spring preload and rebound front and rear. I've already put a Ohlins full adjustable on the rear, and it feels much improved.
I'm wondering what's out there for cartridge replacements for the forks. I looked at Ohlins Nix-30 but the only place that seems to do the install is Dan Kyle and I believe they are out of business.

I see that Traxion does an equivalent Wondering if anyone has experience with them.

Any others out there?

I'm a bit of a suspension junkie and am pretty decent at setups. For the street anyways. I expect to keep theis bike for a while and know I'll get the payback for the investment.

Thx

I have Traxxion Dynamics in the forks of my FZ09 and they work great.

Other options: Penske, Racetech, Andreanni, and others.

id be shocked if any of the reputable suspension shops in the BA werent willing to do an Ohlins cart install on ANY fork.

cuz thats a core part of their whole business. the procedure and skills for installing any cartridge on any fork don't vary all that much and there aren't many special tools. if they can install a cartridge, even an OEM one, they can install most of them.

From reading the Ohlins website that doesnt have a direct fitting for the VFR1200 and reading the link on the DK site that indicated he can fit one, it appears that some custom machining is needed. Might be a minor cutting of a surface or two but without the specific knowledge I'm not sure I want to pop for the parts and hope a given shop can install it. Rather stay with a sure thing.

I'm not seeking a racers edge only trying to feed the monkey on my back...

Dan Kyle is still in business, they are really a great shop, but I agree anyone should be able to pop those in for you.

I went to Catylist Reaction and they suggested Andreani cartridges for my RnineT Pure. I've had a good experience with them before and tend to trust their judgement. They're about two weeks out, so we'll see when they come in.

GP Suspension 25 mm cartridges

I have a Kawasaki Concours 14 that I had Fastline install GP 25mm cartridges up front after I put the Ohlins on the rear. The bike feels 200 pounds lighter.
Look at GP Suspension website and give them a call.

How are their prices? I've been trying to find a reasonable shop around here but Bay Area shops are expensive...just like everything else around here...:wtf
