Hello helpful LEOs,

I was just curious what your current protocols are when you are observance of people not obeying the stay-at-home mandate. Is it a fineable citation? Verbal warning?

This is not meant to discuss what is right or wrong, I am just curious what your current statute is for these directives.

Thanks!

Disobedience of a Health Officer’s order is a misdemeanor.

§120275 HS - Any person who, after notice, violates, or who, upon the demand of any health officer, refuses or neglects to conform to, any rule, order, or regulation prescribed by the department respecting a quarantine or disinfection of persons, animals, things, or places, is guilty of a misdemeanor.

Currently the only “people” really seeing enforcement are businesses who refuse to close...

How do you know which businesses are required to close?

A friend is an accountant working for a relatively small property management company (~14 in office). She is asked to work part time to do accounting stuff, like processing payments for plumbers as an example.

Maybe I answer my own question. Found THE LIST of “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” and right there on page 12 it says, BACK TO WORK!!!

Further, it looks like segments of my company can work too, so maybe we will survive.

If she can do that work from home, even better. Everyone can still work from home, if the type of job they do is possible to do from home.

Riddle me this.
We're not taking anyone to jail for it*, but the consequence upon conviction is jail time. Instead, they'll get a court date for the future and get to sit in jail once the quarantine is over. When everyone else is allowed to go out again, those who are unnecessarily out now will be behind bars.

*There's murmurs that this may change, and we may lock up people immediately. States and countries don't shut down unless the situation is dire, which is what we've seen worldwide.

No speedy trial?

Anyway, the lawyers kind of messed it up for her, or probably other factors, liability with financial info...
