My New Years resolution this year, is learning to edit videos. This is my version 1 edit. Hopefully I'll keep pounding away at it and get better with each attempt.

I'd really like to see your videos too! So post your attempts here! Maybe we can share ideas and get pro-tips from others on the board!

Enjoy!

Looked fine to me, I love the vinyl on the BMW.

If I could make only one suggestion, it appears to me that you're using "synthetic" slow motion, rather than shooting it in slow motion. It gives it that lurching effect. If that was desired, then, no problem. But it's easier to speed up slow motion video than slow down normal video.

The wife bought a Canon G7X camera about 4 years ago. We aren't tech savvy, so most of our things are basic functioning. All I did was hit record and tried to move around the bikes as slowly as possible. I did however, try to pay attention and not record my reflection in anything, but there was a lot of instances where I noticed later, that my reflection was everywhere lol!

To answer your question, I don't know how to do that function and I don't know if this camera has it either. I used Shotcut editing software and slowed down the video through that... I'm still a huge noob.

The group I ride with, coordinated a class and tuning session with Dave Moss yesterday. I took photos and recorded videos of everything. Later in the evening, I uploaded all the files from my camera and started reviewing... At this moment, I realized almost all of my pictures and videos were trash. Turns out my lens was dirty and almost everything was blurred. I salvaged what I could and slapped together a quick video. Nothing fancy, just messed with video play speeds, fading, and merging from scene-to-scene. I also learned a pretty valuable lesson on top of cleaning my lens... save the edit files after every change you make! I was deep in the editing process (working straight through without breaks) and found that I caused a ripple in the beginning of the video. I tried every correction I could think of, but finally decided to scrap it and start over. Anyways, hope you guys find this video better than the last. I managed to get it all together in about 3 hours. I'm still a noob! :facepalm

Enjoy!

What a small world!

I'm driving down to Houston next weekend, to move all my bikes, tools, and other heavy items. Not staying though, because I'm driving right back up here.

Which, if you need to ship anything to your bro, I'll be coming back to the Bay Area with an empty moving truck... Text me if you got something :thumbup
