So, I've been looking for dirtbikes online at dealership's and 2021 crf110's just came out and 90 percent of them are sold once they hit the floor. What is the allure of these bikes? Other than they are indestructible, fun to goon, and hold there value well?

They're cheap. Try looking for a used one, I'm sure there's plenty. It could also be because your looking for one they are all sold out haha =P

Used ones cost more than new. Some guy in CL is trying to sell theirs for 4800. Probably not looking at the right places. My only sources are fb marketplace and CL

COVID Tax is crazy on everything. I sold my old Cannondale Road Bike for $1,000 bucks because the guy REALLY wanted it. I had it listed for $700, had a few buyers but he Zelle'd the $1000 and picked up that night.

Well, the newer 2019+ CRF110F's are fuel injected, which is a huge plus for those that prefer FI over carburetors. That and they're not very expensive which means easily attainability

basically, a month into the SIP, used bicycles became 'teslas'. everyone was looking to buy because it allow them get outta the house before they lost their minds. and it still is a sellers market. I noticed my neighbor selling his Mt. bike, when i ask him how long it took, the ad on CL was about an hr. old before the first reply hit! Covid tax, that's a new one for me.....:laughing

As for the xr50/70/80/100, those bikes are the toyota tacomas of the motorcycle world......

Any used bike below 125cc is for sale for about 30 seconds before it gets snatched up.....and the prices they fetch reflect that fact.

Wow thats crazy. I have been getting a lot of people eying the DR650 I have on facebook right now.

Actually I went to demo ride the Zero SR/S last week and I overheard the sales dude says they are selling bikes left and right right now because everyone wants to go out and social distance ride.

I notice Sur Rons are in pretty high demand right now also, they are constantly sold out and need to be pre-ordered. The parts are sold out also, which sucks for me =/

Bikes are pretty popular sale item right now.

Because they're easy to steal. When I worked at IMX, someone broke the window and stole 3 KTM 50 cc bikes. Had to lift them right over the Ducati sitting in front of the window.
One turned up in Berkeley. Dude brought it to a shop because he couldn't get it to run. He never heard of premix
