The American Motorcyclist Association believes you may be interested in nominating yourself or a friend to the California Recreation Resource Advisory Committee. This 11-member council provides recommendations on recreation fees in California on public lands to both the U.S. Forest Service and the federal Bureau of Land Management.

Nominations for these positions will be accepted until Dec. 8th, 2013.

The RAC is currently looking to fill five spots for representatives of the following groups: summer motorized recreation, winter motorized recreation, hunting and fishing and non-motorized recreation. Three spots for representatives of motorized and non-motorized outfitting and environmental groups. And, three people to represent state tourism, indian tribes and local governments.

The term for the positions, beginning in March 2014, will run for two years.

If you or someone you know is interested in submitting an application for the RAC please visit www.fs.fed.us/passespermits/rrac. Or, contact Frances Enkoji at (707) 562-8846. Submit packets to Frances Enkoji, USDA Forest Service, 1323 Club Drive, Vellejo, CA 94592.

If you are not yet an AMA member, please join the AMA to help us fight efforts to restrict responsible motorized recreation. More members means more clout against our opponents, and your support will help us fight for your riding rights – on the road, trail, racetrack, and in the halls of government.
