Last I heard, CADOJ proposed such a measure, but I've not heard of it coming to fruition yet.

So, reading around, it's continually referred to as "proposed" or a "proposal", but the articles talk about it as if it is implemented. I'm quite confused as to if it is, or is not, implemented and why it would be "proposed" if it is implemented.

Overall, I really hope I can convince my partner to leave CA.

:thumbup Me too! Highly unlikely as she's with John Muir and killing it there. But man, these laws, taxes, pace of life, it's only going to get worse .

For me; .. it isn't going to be much of a problem in having to show proof of ID.

an older non expired regular CDL issued pre-AB60 will work yes - if it doesnt have the “federal limits apply” disclaimer on the front.

Also if you havent purchased ammo or a firearm in the last year you will need a re-issued COE (DOJ Certificate of Eligibility) background clearance which costs $19 and takes 10 days.

The COE has to be renewed annually or else you lose it. It renews every time you use it to buy ammo - and pay the $1 surcharge :rolleyes

One exception I plan on using is my dad in Montana. I can bring unlimited ammo back from Montana. Thats what I will do until I can bugout of CA

Only if you want to break the law. You can buy it there, shoot it there, but you can't bring it back unless it goes directly to a licensed dealer.

If ammo availability dries up for convicted criminals, a black ammo market will develop. Bad guys will pursue and kill for it .. Reason: the Bad guys are still going too get ammunition.

I purchased some ammo yesterday and they only required my DL but I still have an older DL that doesnt say anything about limitations. So stupid!!!
