Just to clear this up a little, we DO want this to pass so it will BAN the potential for motorcycle only only check points.

Please requeset your state Assemblymen to support AB 1047.

Update: Assembly Bill 1047, introduced by Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries , was pulled from the May 8 hearing at the author's request and will now be heard on June 12 in the Senate Transportation and Housing Committee. This bill would prohibit state and local law enforcement agencies that receive National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) grant money intended for a motorcycle safety program from using the money for the implementation of motorcycle only checkpoints (MOCs).
The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and ABATE of California applaud Jeffries for this bill. It is similar to a bill introduced in North Carolina, which is now law. The North Carolina bill prevents law enforcement officials from implementing MOCs. To view the North Carolina bill, click here.

I called. They simply took down my name and Zip Code and parroted back my support for AB 1047. A simple thank you and a hang up. Despite the lack of interaction, I urge you all to do the same.
