New Girl in Sacto but love riding along the Bay

Hi Everyone,
A friend had recommended this place and so far everyone seems pretty cool while I was lurking waiting to get in. I have been riding most of my life and just recently finally bought a new to me BMW 1200GS to be able to tour along the coast and take pictures. I love riding down to SF for day trips and would like to start doing more few day trips as things get back to normal. More of a ride and hotel it than a camper but who knows. Anyone between Sac and SF looking for someone to ride with, feel free to hit me up.

Welcome to BARF. There are many BARF members in the Sacramento area, but very little group ride activity around there. I lived in Folsom for five years and put a few together. Others "promised" to schedule group rides too, but nobody ever did while I was living there.

But since you like riding to the coast, you can catch the rides there.

It seems to take at least one person who plans and organizes rides. Before I moved, I put on many, many rides with my group of friends. We usually had between 4 and 8 people. After I moved, they haven't had any. Even though a couple of the people said they'd put something together.

Wife and I live in between and we ride with a group of folks out of SAC on occasion and also do multi day rides (kinda before the Rona)….but as things get better in that department we will be doing more rides and likely posting some also. We have entertained another two week ride once things get better. We did a western US tour through many National Parks about 2-3 years ago

That's a great bike! Had one back in the day. The coastal tour is beautiful, I've done the ride to LA several times, not a bad trip if you want to extend it and go passed SF.
