Need help/mechanic in the North Bay Area

Hello

I have a 2008 Royal Enfield with a lot of performance mods (ACE -Fireball kit: head, rockers, valves, cams, piston, conrod, clutch etc.) I did top end assembly myself but the bottom end was rebuilt by a professional.

I need to bump up the compression by removing the cylinder base plate and replace with a gasket. I am looking for a recommendation for a reliable mechanic in the Napa-Fairfield-Vacaville area to do this for me.

Would totally appreciate tips/recommendations.

Many regards.

Question:
How thick is the baseplate, and with your "mods", how much space is left in the CC? Meaning, will your valve lift whack into the piston domes if you take the plate out?

Have you measured top of stroke and valve clearance? Were the pistons and valve train items you installed spec'd to have the plate removed and changing the stroke?

yeah P to V is gonna be very important, plus you're gonna need to degree the cams after removing the plate as the timing between the crank & cams is going to change.
