Got a speeding ticket in Redding on i5 and cop didn't show up. He was on vacation till the day after my court date. I actually got more nervous when I showed up and didn't see him. This was my first speeding ticket in 13yrs.

Bailiff told me to buy a lotto ticket. I basically stopped listening to the judge after he told me it was dismissed. Just zoned out hahaha. Btw Ive never had a DUI or accident.

I do have a hand full of events to tell about cops letting me go without a ticket.
But I'm not going to hijack your thread.
Yes, go buy a lotto ticket and have a beer or two and celebrate!!!

I've got a great story about that. Not me but a friend.

Gets all prepared for contesting his speeding ticket in Marin. All excited to go all Denny Crane. LEO doesn't show up when case called. Judge says case dismissed but instead of walking out when the walking is good still wants to ask some questions about the ticket. Sticks around to ask, LEO then shows up. Judge recalls case, :Bap hilarity ensues.

My friend said that when the cop did not show, the judge wanted to reschedule... He objected and the judge sustained.

I was in traffic court yesterday too: officer not present, dismissed.
