Millyard RC374 Six Cylinder - How its made - Episode1

New build video just released.

Emulating the infamous Honda inline 6 RC174.

footnote:
In this video (Episode 1) I will be explaining how i modified a pair of Yamaha FZR250RR crankcases, barrels and heads from four cylinder to six cylinder increasing the displacement to 374cc and naming it the RC374. I also talk about how I converted the standard wet clutch to a dry clutch. My aim was to make a 1967 Honda RC174 (298cc) replica that looks and sounds like the real thing. I made the whole bike in 2018.

Gotta' hand it to a guy (Millyard) who, in his garden shed, can take salvage yard bits and bobs, use a hacksaw and a coarse rasp and build something that is museum worthy.

The water pumper Kawasaki V-12 was astounding.
The Z-1 converted to a V-8 amazed me.
A five cylinder two stroke built on an H-2 (?) was drool worthy.

He's done closed gearbox mountain bikes (no chains).
And now a jewel like IL/6 ? Magic there.

And he's so humble when he talks about it all.

just love his Tele-Tubbies-esque delivery style ...
British understatement: “I’m quite pleased with that ...” :laughing:angel

I would love to hear a real RC374 in person. From the vids I've seen, they're just incredible.

Also, Millyard is an absolute genius.

I've heard the RC174 Honda's at Laguna Seca a few different years. One year they did a lap on it. Another year they fired one up in the Ducati Island display. I've got a video of that somewhere. They sound awesome.

And I agree with all above on Allen Millyard.
Reminds me of a cross between Mr. Rogers and Burt Munroe, but better. :thumbup

Here's a teaser from 2018 with the first ever (public) running of the RC374 while waiting for the part 2 video.

Watched a couple of his videos, thanks for sharing. He says this in a certain way and it cracks me up thinking about it: “...and it fitted perfect.”
