In addition to S.B. 249 defunding our SVRAs, it will kill the Grant Program,
When we save the OHMVR Division, we save Metcalf and lots of funding for othere areas we ride. Everyone need to comment on Grant applications, wich is a pain, but not as bad as losing our riding areas.
Please post a comment how important Metcalf is to your family...

California State Parks Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division administrates a grant program which has provided significant funding to help operate Santa Clara County's Motorcycle Park. The program provides funding for well managed off-highway vehicle recreation. It supports the maintenance, operation, and enforcement associated with the use of off-highway motor vehicles, and helps fund programs involving off-highway motor vehicle safety or education.
Santa Clara County Parks has submitted our preliminary application to the state OHV division. The 30-day public review and comment period for the Grants and Cooperative Agreement Program begins March 7, 2017, and ends April 3, 2017. This period provides an opportunity for the public to review the preliminary applications submitted to the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division for consideration during the current grant cycle.
Please make a public comment you may do so by emailing christian.elliott@prk.sccgov.org and copying the OHMVR Division at OHVinfo@parks.ca.gov Please be certain to copy the OHMVR Division as this is the only way comments will be received by California State Parks.
