Loved and cherished partner of Allyssa Martinez, loyal and caring brother of David Poole, coolest Uncle to David & Kaliegh Poole, and beloved son of Marylois Poole and treasured friend to many.
Martin was born in Oakland, Ca and grew up in Walnut Creek. He graduated high school from Las Lomas in Walnut Creek. He attended both UC Davis and Berkeley where he received his degree in Engineering. He was also a loyal brother in the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Martin lived in Tahoe Donnor for 15 years before moving back to the Bay Area. Martin worked for the DOE/UC System at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for 12 years as a Sr. Electronics Technologist, The last 4 years were spent in the NIF Project and Laser Engineering Division.
Martin was the quintessential connoisseur of hobbies. His first love was Motorcycles and most recently becoming an AFM Racer. Martin also was an accomplished machinist, fabricator and builder. Over time Martin had built Motorcycles, Mountain Bikes, 4 Wheel Drives and Boats just to name a few.
He was an avid Ham Radio user, fishing was also one of his new favorite things. Martin was an aficionado of music, owning some rare and beautiful guitars with also the talent of knowing how to play them as well. He like to enjoyed his Single Malt Scotch with friends and put together tasting sessions on occasions.
