Hope everyone is well.
Just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. I have been on the boards for years but never really posted. I bought a track bike this year and will be getting more into that, and just wanted to be a bit more active here.
Been riding all my life, a pw50 at 3 led to a kx60 by 6 or 7 and it was downhill from there. A lot of mx growing up, and then street bikes at 15 1/2 (only two tickets on my permit!) Several R6s and a gsxr 600 later, my dad and I picked up racing flat track. There was a cbr1000rr and a plated crf450x in there for a bit as well. Long story short, I busted up my left knee racing in 2015 (missed losing my lower leg to compartmentalization by 3psi).
Now, I'm just doing track days and thinking about doing a little road racing soon. The grom gets me and my fiance around town (which is sometimes Sac, sometimes SF, and eventually back to my roots in the east bay) and the track bike keeps me sane.
Just had a great interaction buying a trackday from a guy on these boards, and it kind made me realize the importance of community, and wanted to reach out and introduce myself. The motorcycle community continues to impress and amaze me.
