If anyone could find a contact dude for this effort, and share it, it would be cool. The petition site is a bit scary.

done!!

Remind me Butch and I will get a banner going.
This is the sort of thing where every motorcycle rider really should step up and take a moment to sign.

Wish folks were that passionate about two wheels.
Instead they may say. Madera is to far. I don't have time. Why the f should I.

Support the sport.!!

I saw this on SBR and posted in the dirty BARF section (and linked to this thread as well). Sorry for the cross post, but I left it there in the hopes that it would get more eyes. I know that sometimes I forget about this sub forum.

Do you have a location for the proposed OHV park?

Going by the NIMBYs Facebook page, it's right next to the high school, extending through the meadows of precious native grasses, over the ancient Indian burial grounds, finally stopping right in the middle of the prime Golden Eagle nesting habitat.

Seems unlikely as all two of the high scools in Madera are right in town.

According to the NIMBY's FB page it is in Coarsegold, CA

about here: 37.154318, -119.724853

I posted this on the NIMBY MyFace page:

Wow. Some kids, and some adults, like motorcycles. It is better to provide a dedicated, managed area for this activity than make them outlaws. A well managed OHV park is actually a park, with more land as open space and habitat than actual dirt trails. Isn't there enough space to share?

BlackHawk OHV Park Needs Your Help
Your help is needed to support the new BlackHawk OHV Park being planned for Madera County. THIS IS TIME SENSTIVE and comments must be submitted by April 4, 2016.

We are requesting the OHV communities help to send in comments supporting the BlackHawk OHV Park Project. The ANTI OHV opposition has already sent in negative comments and we need as many people as possible to send in positive support comments from all over the state and especially people that live in Madera County.

In your comments it is important to say that the area is in need of additional motorized recreational opportunities and that you support the BlackHawk OHV Park project in Madera County. Comments can be just a few short words of support. We have made it very simple for you to submit a comment by following the instructions listed below.

Please click on the comment link below or paste it into your internet browser to take you to the California State OHV Division website where you can make a public comment. Just follow the instructions listed below to get you to the comment Email Page. This is the only way the public can make comments on the project and have them be part of the public records. Thank You in advance for your support to help make the BlackHawk OHV Park a reality

El Dorado county is asking for money to help with the Rubicon trail maintenance, but they're also asking for money to help pay for patrolling the SPTC(Sacramento Placerville Transportation Corridor) in an effort to catch illegal OHV use.
This is an old inactive train line that doesn't allow motorized use anymore and is referred to by most, including the county, as the El Dorado Trail, it's used for hiking, mountain biking, horseback, and excursion trains. The dirt trail that exists adjacent to the tracks was first established by dirt bikes back in the 70's, maybe earlier. OHV use on this trail is few and far between, I live close enough to hear any. The Sherriff and deputies I've spoken with say it isn't a problem and have better things to do, the same very few people complain.
