got an old watch working, oh my James Bond

so I've been going through some old watches trying to get one to work, basically buying batteries and seeing if they work.
Finally got a battery for the Seiko Silverwave I wore in the 80's and thought it was as easy as install new battery and roll with it.
NO.
First Off there is losing one of the little screws that holds the battery in place, eventually found it an hour latter but still looking for a 2 MM by a half MM screw in the dining room.

Thought that now I have the new battery in all is good. NO the buttons are all stuck and it will only be a watch.

So proceed to clean and rehabilitate the buttons.
They have the smallest cir clips in the world.
Have to take apart and clean these little buttons that are so SMALL that a flea could cover them.

Finally get it back together and working, except for the light, but good enough for a cost of the battery watch.

so it turns out I have a pic of me wearing it at a Conservation Camp in 1987, I wore it through the 80s in the USAR, CCC and
CDF. It's beat to fuck and scratched to hell but it seems to be ticking again.

so yesterday I went looking for a watch band and apparently they only sell them with watches these days.

so I had this watch band, don't know where it's from, but cleaned it up and put it on.

Not to bad, almost stylish.

the band slipped around so I stripped some insulation off some wire and used it to keep the band from moving around.

You can buy watch bands independent of watches online easily
