I've been a two week viewer of this forum and am still trying to figure you guys out.

I'm just looking to have fun in as safe a manner as I can make it. I got my license in Aug of 2001, so I'm still new to motorcycles. As a newbie, I first wanted to get serious answers to questions. From my two weeks of lurking, I'm glad I got some grounding at the ninja250.info site. I'm not doggin' you guys, just stating that I see two sides to this site...Lots of sarcasm going on here...

I primarily commute from Hercules to Fremont and don't see too many commuters along 880. Are most of the members weekend warriors?

That's it. I hope I haven't come off as being super conservative, but I'm still a rookie. Besides...I hate pain.

So to end this in what appears to be typical BARF fashion... :twofinger

First off :welcome !!

I think for the most part, everyone here is really down to earth. There's weekend warriors as well as guys/gals that'll ride in all sorts of weather. Rookies to Vets... There's a good mix here @ BARF.

Welcome neighbor!:welcome I'm mostly ride on weekends and got my license around the same time you did. I ride to work once in a while when the weather is nice such as today. I rather ride the twisties though...........much more fun. :D

:welcome fellow newb... When I finally got my bike up and running, registerd, and insured, I rode her to work whenever I had the chance... But finding all these cool roads in the weekends might just become my new hobbie...

I dont know about the rest of the people on this message board but sarcasm in any form makes for a fun time to be had by all. I like it, im prolly the most sarcastic bastard on this thing..*shrug* So..... do you wanna arm wrestle or anything?? :teeth

Welcome Russ! I visit the http://www.ninja250.info site regularly coz I ride a ninja 250. Do you maintain the site? I wrote an email a few months back asking about how to ligthen the 250. I think, you answered my email???

I have just joined BARF last april and I have been to 1 SF BARF meet and 1 group ride around alice. So far, I think everyone is really nice, friendly and down-to-earth. Made me wonder why I haven't joined BARF any sooner. People just sound different online/on the message board. They are "much better" in person.
