Dunlop Trailmax

Right at about 11k miles on my CB500X RR. I was over 5k when I left for the Continental Divide Trail. Probably another 1k pavement miles left, but I've had a plug (put in while on the CDT) come out twice in the last few weeks. The new set arrived last Friday, I just have to figure out how/where/when I'm going to have them put on. High marks from me, and I beat the hell out of them both on and off pavement.

Sounds like an updated version of the old Trail Wing (aka Death Wings) that comes with the DR650. I actually rode across the US on the way to the TAT with it on the rear and I think I replaced them in Louisiana, I did some dirt miles on them too in like Arizona and they were a good dual sport tire.

I rode with Bananachunks last weekend and he hauled ass on these tires. He's got around 10K miles on them and said he would use them again.

He was ripping IMO on the Knoxville dirt section and the Reiff to Buck Island with plenty of loose rocks, hard pack, soft silty ect...

This big GS belonging to Cincinnatus was also running them and they looked like they worked well on dirt and pavement.

So it turns out I was wrong in my earlier post. After taking a look at my Zumo's Service Log, I saw that I was a few thousand miles off (low) on my Trailmax mileage. They were installed at 47,100 miles, and I just replaced them yesterday at 61,545 miles. 14,445 miles! Of course, I replaced them with same :)

I could have easily kept the front, but I figured with almost 15k I totally got my money's worth - why not go fresh all around!

Half Fast at best......
I just put a set on my 1290. No complaints with pavement grip. Will test them out in Death Valley in 2 weeks.
