Time to show your hidden little gems so the rest of us can enjoy:teeth:devil

It would be great to have a running list as people discover new places, and I will post mine...just as soon as I find some.

Man I asked that question when I first got my KLR and people are so damn secretive about their dirt roads. :laughing

Although, to be fair, now that I know a few I'm also somewhat reluctant to point them out to people.

If you want to do anything more than a few miles of "secret" road you're going to have to venture out a ways. Besides, the thing I've found about the "secret" roads is that they're typically short, not very interesting, out of the way and not really worth the effort unless they're along the route you're taking, or on the way home.

This is totally true.

But I'm still not telling.

To the OP- get yourself a map of the Mendocino NF and start riding. It's worth the trip (not that there are many options).

Hmmm, I guess it is. Needs more orange.

And spot on about Mendocino NF, lots of nooks & crannies to find in there. If you're ready to go "beyond" then getting north of Lake Shasta offers up additional areas of fun. I (along with friends) have used McCloud as a base of operations with many miles o' fun.

Looks like a trip to Mendocino is in order. I was hoping to hear of a good local trail where I can take the little wiminz with me, but I guess I'll just go find the damn thing myself:laughing

Hmmm, I went for the blue crush. . . .tasty.

Rooster- there are shortish dirt roads here and there, but there's nothing like what you want close in to the bay area. Legally. To live outside the law you must be honest. Or lucky.
