Can't send or reply to private messages

As the title goes, I am unable to reply or message anyone on BARF. Is there a restriction such as achieve a certain amount of posts in order to achieve that privilege or is there something wrong with my account?

Also make sure your browser is not blocking pop-up windows, in case an error message pop-up is being blocked.

Any changes? How do you know that you have a PM? Do you get a pop-up? Do you receive an email notification?

Can you view your Sent Folder?

Due to a recent influx of spammers we have restricted the abilities of 'newbies' to create threads in the Classifieds forums until the have been a member for 30days AND made 30posts in other areas of the forum.

Newbies should be able to reply to for sale threads.

A ha! I've been getting responses to my post in classifieds but haven't been able to respond. That would explain it, though I don't think I'm anywhere near 30 posts. I can talk about my ride on Skyline from this morning, that will help....

Regarding budman's message above, am I to understand that you have removed the restriction on 30 posts for PMs now?

(and btw, thanks for trying to keep the spammers at bay; my frustration in figuring out the PM thing is nothing compared to that bullshit)
