No more sponginess. No more pogo-ing. No more bottoming-out. I'm installing this stuff this weekend...

Finally, Baja trophy-truck technology trickles down to the lowly KLR. :laughing

Are you going up to Metcalf to check out your investment later? Let us know how it worked out.

Ooooo! I've been looking at those for my 08. Tell me how you like them! Will you have to trim any off the webbing on your swing arm?

Are you swapping out the front springs too or just doing the intiminators? I'd like to hear your evaluation of the setup after some ride time. Ricor is getting alot of love over on 650.net. Full report please! -Tom.

Whats the anodized blue clamp thing with the white screw for? (In the picture by the stickers.)
Also what's that proping up the intminator box?

Dude, I can tell you've tried to ride you bike in the dirt.. you know what the KLR's resting position is right? On it's side? :laughing

No amount of suspension is going to fix the spring loaded hinge, hidden somewhere in the frame of a KLR though. The only way to ride it is WFO and hope that the frequency of both wibble and wobble don't come in to phase and buck you off. :laughing

Already had Progressives that I installed a few months ago. I may end up taking them out and going back to stock. The front's a little too stiff with the Progressives in there.

My review is already up at the KLR forums. And yea, I'm raving about these things. Need to ride them some more but damn I am impressed. http://www.klr650.net/forums/showpost.php?p=766687&postcount=393

Damn I gotta start inspecting the top of my washing machine if y'all are scrutinizing my pictures that closely. :laughing

The blue clamp thing is the Motion Pro chain alignment tool. For those of us too dumb to use maths and strings and stuff... :laughing

Not sure which one you mean is propping up the Intis. It's just a Garmin Zumo 550 and my AFX helmet behind it.

That may be, but I think the RICOR setup (front and back) is about as good as a KLR can get. I'm fucking sold on this stuff, best $700 bucks I spent on the bike... hell I was confident enough on this setup to go up Mt. Madonna Road in the dark last night. :laughing

My review is up at the KLR650 forum.

I have read that they work better with the stock springs. For added adjustment, some have used the adjustable end cap thingies.

I would think, but I may be wrong, that it should be more stiff because the emulators take up a bit of the spring travel. Like using a longer spring. :dunno

Yes, Carry is gone, but Schnitz still has the 685 and the 705 kits: http://www.schnitzracingstore.com/catalogs/catalog.asp?prodid=4840552&showprevnext=1

They don't do the 705 work in house anymore, but they have some contacts that will. I belive they sugest a shop out of Southern CA.

With the 685, ya just need to bring it to a local shop (a good one) and have it bored to the specifications for around $75.

It looks pretty easy, but it's always nice to have another KLR wrench within shouting distance, to tell you when your about to do some thing stupid.

I've done all the easy mods to get a little extra power: KLX needle, drilled the slide, re jetted, modified the exhaust and air box. It just would be nice to have that little extra bit of power.

Oops, I didn't mean to hijack! Sorry.
