Woah! TMI!! :rofl Hope you're having fun on your trip!

Woah, don't make this weird Daniel. I've had a surgery before, they use a certain lubricant on the breather tube. Geez! :gsxrgrl :laughing

And yes trip is great thanks. Check out my pics on fb if you're bored :ride

Starting to get your signature now! :p :laughing
I'm seriously jealous of your moto lifestyle. I'm doing something wrong I think.

Tough love man... :laughing

Glad all went well.

Thanks Budman!

Sally was there with me in spirit. :laughing

So yesterday was probably the worst day so far. Pain level was up, and i spent most of the day icing and laying down. Today the pain level seems lower but i just woke up. thinking of going to the store for some prune juice. :laughing

The throbbing, and the concrete that once was your intestines..yeah, been there-wish there was something I could do.

Sorry to hear about your collar bone. I broke my right collarbone in a very similar way (3 pieces) in March and had surgery to put it back together.

FWIW the healing process was super easy for me, other than the initial discomfort and weirdness sleeping. I was back to shifting my car (manual) within a few days, ditched the sling in 3 weeks and was using my arm normally after about 4 weeks. After 5 weeks I went back to the doctor for a checkup, who said I had no strength or mobility issues and that I didn't need PT. I was back deadlifting and squatting in the gym that day.

Hopefully your healing process is as easy, but I think you'll be good to go well before January. :thumbup

Thanks for the encouraging words CookieMonster. Today was pretty amazing. I took my last hydrocodone at 3am and today Ive had 2 acetaminophen tablets and I'm not in any pain. The shoulder is numb for the most part along the top going to my neck and around the shoulder and down the front of my chest a few inches. I'm happy to not be in pain but pretty sure I f-ed up some nerves. Hopefully I'll get the feeling back because this is definitely weird. Hoping for some real sleep tonight and looking forward to getting back riding. :thumbup

Well today is my first follow up since the surgery. Hoping they clear me so I can ride stonybarf this weekend, but honestly I think its probably not a great idea. Still have numbness but I'm starting to feel something around where the incision is. I still haven't removed the bandage but I assume that will happen today.

Here is the post op xray. I'll post up more info if I get any from the Kaiser today.

Verry nice!

Yeah, my surgeon didn't even want me riding bicycles this soon after the surgery. :p I did do some sneaky road bicycle rides and one track day before I was officially cleared, but dirt might be a bit much... Re-breaking around the plate is a lot of no fun.

Yeah I keep thinking I could just putt around on the dual sport or the trials bike, but I could just go and drink beer all day too. :thumbup

Here is another shot from the top.

Yeah my doc said absolutely not to me riding bikes/motos for the next four weeks. He said I could start doing exercises but I haven't lost any strength or very much range of motion. He said I'm the person they want to slow down because I'll hurt myself if left unattended. :laughing

Scar is looking pretty good. Got the giant bandaid off, still numb, and now that I can feel the plate without the bandaid I definitely want that thing removed.

Celebrated my good healing by buying myself a fjr1300 today. Too bad I cant ride it for a few weeks.
