Been a while since I logged in. Been busy with bike after bike, riding and racing and while I am slowing down, I'm not settling down!
Recently (well, in mid, 2019) I purchased a BMW F850GSA. Very good bike that REALLY needs a motor, ECM reflash. The power plant is very, very, very adequate. It moves the bike at an acceptable pace. That's as nice as I can be.
A parallel twin, displacing 850cc's should have more snot. My Royal Enfield 650 pulls harder off idle. And while I fully understand why you don't want an ADV bike to hit HARD off-road, there is room for improvement. Lots actually.
Does anyone know of someone that can re-tune the latest & greatest BMW 850 plant? I like the bike a lot. I really do, I just don't love it. With some small tweaks (including a reflash) I'm sure I could find love in that bike.
