The Yerba Buena Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America
is having a club meeting in San Francisco on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 ...

They usually meet down in Redwood City, so I'm going to try
and make an appearance ...

Looks like it's at Il Pirata which is the old-school place just uphill
from UPS on 16th Street between Utah and Potrero ... :afm199

see you around
the corner,

PS: I missed the recent vintage events at The Homestead
and The MotoSocial, because I'm not on facebook ... :p :twofinger

cool motorcycles being ridden in ...

... looking forward to October! :party

This is all super cool. Thanks for posting it John..

Thanks John.

Love the old iron and have always been partial to Pans.
And Indians.
And Vincents.
And.....

Thanks for reading and posting Cabrito and m0t0_ryder! :thumbup

... I'm up to my elbows trying to do a KLR engine swap
in order to try to make the Weaverville Rally ...
may turn into a vintage ride for me at this rate ... :laughing:ride

hmmm - mebbe an incomplete answer

I offer, "Kosman setup using H/A parts"

haha, you get a participation prize,
which is a beverage of your choice
when our paths cross ... :laughing

I think the parts for Kalle's chopper
probably came from the ads in
Biker Lifestyle magazine ...

Jon Peddicord is from Alabama, and I'm
not sure if Sandy was active in AL
in the '70s and early '80s when Jon was still riding
and maintaining the Indians that Kalle has been purchasing
from him recently ... :dunno

Do you recognize some of the brackets in the
pic as Kosman bits? That would be pretty cool! :afm199

Some pics of Jon, back in the day:

... guess you can kind of date these pics from some of the
vehicles in the background ... looks mid-'80s ...?

alchief05.jpg

... Chief tricks ... :toothless

alchief46.jpg

... this is the most recent, 1946, Chief Jon sold to Kalle ... pic is from
a cross-country trip Jon took in the early '80s ... still has the
fiberglass tail box on the back ... Kalle hopes to recreate
a Sturgis run and an old Sturgis pic with this bike when it is back together ...

alchief35.jpg

... Jon and the pre-war Chief Kalle has since restored and
recently got 99.25 points at the Dixon AMCA National this July ...
guess the pic is from the mid-'90s ...

... see if I can find any old Airhart ads on-line ... :party

"... the law requires them ..." :laughing:party

... Kalle has a story about riding that
chopper over 500 miles in a couple of
days on the NorCal TT and having to
deal with front brake clearance/bracket issues, so I'm thinking
maybe not a Kosman kit ...?
