Another pair of pulsing rotors fixed by TrueDisk

A while ago I had a Ducati Hypermotard 939SP with pretty much the same brakes as the Super Duke.

The front brakes started to pulse, you know- where you can feel it as you slowly roll to a stop.

It bugged me, so -long story short- I sent them off to TrueDisk https://truedisk.net/ and they were fixed for good.

My new to me '16 Super Duke SE had the same issue so I did the same thing. Got them back today and they look great. They charge $100 for a pair of rotors like these (320mm semi floating wave).

This time though I also converted to fully floating buttons:

Install was pretty easy. Test ride just now and, after bedding in procedure, they feel excellent.:thumbup

So we're they actually warped? Or just dirty? The vast majority of brake pulsing is due to contaminants on the rotor along with an uneven distribution of pad material. Only very, very rarely are they warped to the degree the pulsing can be felt. One way to differentiate is dirty rotors will not produce a pedal/lever pulsing, while a warped disk will show up with pedal/lever pulsing.

I'm betting you could only feel the pulsing though the bike's motion and not through the lever itself.
