If you have the crf nearby, try it. That will expose the pitfalls fairly immediately

Wheel Bearing diameter vs axle size
Sprocket offset
Brake rotor offset x2
Brake caliper location x2
Axle spacers 2x (1 left 1 right)

i did some looking around and both bikes use a 12mm axle front and rear, so existing bearings in the wheels should work. spacers will need to be sorted out, you may get lucky and the spacers from the OE dirt wheels can be used or the klx mag wheel spacers? it's kinda unlikely though. spacers are not difficult to make though, or modify.

73motoparts offers those wheels in a crf150 fitment. i don't know much aobut dirtbikes is there any crossover there?

the brake rotor location and sprocket location are the harder pieces to figure out i don't have any way to investigate that. I gleaned the axle size information from looking at axle bearings via partzilla and this awesome cross reference sheet i stumbled upon

This is awesome news! Thank you so much for the research.

... Doh... Please hold. My husband (DTRIDES) just noticed that the CRF has drum brakes in the rear... I may be out of luck. :x

First steps are hardest?

Inshould.alsonmention that a 2020 crf is the closest I could find, and there are several variants
