    Dirt lots near SF

    Any suggestions for quiet dirt parking lots to putt around on a dirt bike? My GF is new to riding and it would be great to practice basics close to home instead of cruising all the way to Metcalf or something. That way we could do it more often and she'd pick it up quicker.

    Thumb throttle control

    http://goo.gl/iWI57E My first thought is that instinctual tightening of your grip (say if you get startled by something or in emergency maneuvers) on the handlebars tends to draw your thumb towards the rest of your hand, thus increasing throttle. Sounds like it might be dangerous?
