    Kawasaki ZX-6E motor

I realize I just missed my shot at one for $200, here in our very own classifieds. Oh well, timing is everything. Anyone know of one for sale? Mine is giving up the ghost, experiencing valve train problems as it approaches the 80k mile mark. I'm not ready to give this baby up, and am looking...

    Comparing costs: Car vs. Bike

From another thread, I thought it was interesting enough to spawn a new one: Insurance: < $100 / year for liability on the Kawasaki vs > $200 a year for liability on the Nissan Oil change: $30 a change for both Tires: Running high pressures on my own track/race takeoffs (Dunlops) for the...

Going through my scribbed note sheets, I have the top 3 as Dave Stanton, Ken Hill, and Mark Foster. Can someone give me a hand with the remaining three (before I leave at 9), so I can get this...

    2-day or 24-hour Saddlesore?

Which type of ride would interest you more? I already have two really good routes planned - I'd like to do whichever appeals to more people! Total distance for the two routes would be about the same - around 1000 miles. - Mike

    August 14 - 15: Shall we ride?

I'm not sure if this will be the date of our SaddleSore 1000, or if we'll do some sort of two-day deal as a warm up to a more intensive rally, but it's one of my few free weekends in the next few months. I've already have some really good routes planned, I'm just not sure of the best way to go...

A Baby Butt of our own?

Every year, a San Diego riding group hosts a 1000 mile "Baby Butt" endurance ride (http://www.redhotriders.com/main/bb1000.htm). It's not a contest or a race, and there is no official finishing order - just a start point, a destination, and a route. Log your gas stops, send in your receipts...

    Sacrificing grunt for fuel efficiency

Most of the people I ride with have a range of about 120 miles until reserve. I was wondering - with some sort of airbox restrictor, would it be possible / reasonable to change the fuel mapping to improve fuel efficiency? The Couch-a-saki gets almost 200 miles to a tank. ZX-9Rs, GSX1300Rs...

Helping the truck deal with it

Occasionally, I load two bikes into my old Nissan hardbody truck. The back sags like crazy - I was told I could have air shocks installed to help it deal with the additional load. Does anyone know what the cost of the shocks plus installation typically is?
