    MotoGP Austrailia, Stoner?

Well, now that Casey Stoner has wrapped up the championship this season and is headed to his home GP, will he do as other champions have done and bin his bike with all his enthusiasm and success, like a real "Super Man"? It has happened quite a few times in the past. I recall Doohan tossing...

    new pavement on HWY9 South

Just got back from a HWY9 run and was very pleased to see new pavement layed between 236 stop sign and Boulder Creek (traveling South). Thumbs up! to Cal Trans on this one, I have disliked the roller coaster bumps there previously. They did a very nice job of it, feels smoother than the race...

    MotoGP riders visit the Rodeo!

I just happened to catch Loris Capirossi, Chris Vermeulen, and I think Carlos Checa on KSBW8 TV station visiting the Salinas Rodeo. It was a little surprising to me. Although, KSBW is usually with it unlike the main stream Baseball, Football stations. Caption Contest anyone?....

    My tire failure experience

I had a front tire fail on me over the week end. It was an older Pirelli race tear off tire I was running on my GS500. It had a worrying cut on the tread you will see in the picture at the area the carcass separated and ultimately blew out on me. I tried to limp home furthering the damage to...

A.M. speedy Ducati 999 280 North in San Jose

Who is the speedy Ducati 999 that I see periodically going up 280 from San Jose toward Cupertino around 9:00 AM?.... That person needs to chill on the lane splitting a bit. Hate to see the 999 wadded or worse. Sounds real nice, just keep it safe and do more posing rather than dangerous lane...

    "It gets great gas mileage"

I have been finding much more public acceptance of my obsession of riding my motorcycle (and usually as fast as possible). Today, when I tell them it gets great gas mileage they light up and go... "Yeah, that's great"! Never mind that I have been saying this since gas was just under a dollar a...

Pulled over and let go... by CHP

I missed my exit today and was already running late. The next turn around was about 4 miles up the road, but I was in a relatively new area for me. So I tired to make some time to that next exit on my little SV. I made it to the turn around exit to find a CHP right on my tail. Luckily he...

Why would Dunlop make a street "Q" tire?

Why would Dunlop name a street tire a "Qualifier"? That seems quite strange to me. If it works, it will likely catch on. But, it seems to feed squidly behavior on the mountain being able to say you were on Qualifiers at the top of the mountain. When I first ran across the new tire name, I...

    Laguna MotoGP crying begins

Well, It looks like the MotoGP riders (Melandri) got to some complaining about the track already. I knew it wasn't going to take long. It didn't look like to me Laguna Seca had made enough changes to make the run-off areas much better (I shall see tomorrow). But, I felt that run off in turns...
