Going to be looking at a '13 BMW and a'15 Ape tomorrow. Both are stock, low mi, and the same price. Have looked at both new to replace the 10r. Intend to ride it primarily sport touring and some local fun roads. I know........ get a GS but have a reworked Dyna that is fine for slabbing it...

Need some suggestions. I haven't had a dirt bike since the Hodaka shortly after H.S. so have no idea what I'm talking about. I would like to pick up a used plated dirt bike for my 14 yr old kid for Christmas. He has shown some interest and it would get him away from the electronic gadgets...

It is of course well documented that ethanol has cause fuel tanks on Ducs, KTM, Aprilia, and HD to deform. Considering an Aprilia rsv4rr or rf but don't want to deal w/ the tank issue. After some searching I cannot find post 2014 bikes having the problem but I can't find that the issue is...
