I've been doing alot of riding in the rain lately and was wondering what is the worst road conditions? I know first rain is bad but what else? I think I've been riding to fast on wet pavement. Is it bad to ride on wet pavement?

Heres a dumb question but if you leave your helmet secured to your bike i.e. helmet lock would someone steel it? You would have to cut the chin strap to take it. Wouldn't the helmet be useless without the chin strap? Do you guys take your helmets with you or leave them secured to the bike?
