I think so, but I can't figure out the orientation of your shot. Attached is a Bing birdseye of what I assume is the spot. Can anyone confirm the outer ramp is now in use? With so much Bay Bridge construction, I think Bing is a little out of date.

This would have been the spot. Right about where the apex of the turn is on the inside ramp.

I'm posting on BARF for the first time. I'm a friend of Paul's. Amazingly, I just got off the phone with him. It was good to hear his voice. He's drugged up, as you would imagine and in amazingly good spirits considering he just experienced a motorcyclist worst nightmare. GixxerGirl has updated Paul's condition very accurately. He is busted up, but in stable condition. He was being whisked off for another CAT scan. This time they're doing his head and shoulder. I'm just amazed and relieved that he didn't suffer more catastrophic injuries. More later....

Oh damn, he was pitched over the INSIDE wall? Definitely must've been clipped. You don't run off the inside of a turn from going too fast...
Tell him that the Hwy 36 Apex Strafing and Coffee Society is pulling for him , if it will do any good there's five of us up here willing to go to Mercy ( Redding) Enloe ( Chico) or St. Elizabeths ( Red Bluff) and donate blood.
