Ah, this makes sense as to why my symptoms seem stronger for a first dose. Those who already had covid already have immunity, and thus typically have a stronger immune response on the first dose, similar to what others experience on their second dose.

This would seem to be evidence that I already had covid immunity 6 months later.
So immunity results in the same symptoms/experience that you had when first infected. Sounds wonderful, like getting the same cold multiple times year after year...
That is the way that the vaccine works, it triggers a response. What I was getting at is, whether one has mild or severe symptoms, it seems the immune response will be the same each time one gets a vaccine or is again exposed.
I think it's been stated, however, that the vaccine will prevent severe illness, but not infection, so it would seem the virus will live indefinitely in the population, like colds.
Interesting that you had the same symptoms from the vaccine well after recovering from an infection though.
Yep, I am getting a lot of responding My wife has a good friend who is a nurse and she verified we could take Advil 24 hours after. Going to go and say yes to drugs. :thumbup
I was told that it's okay to take Ibuprofin if you have pain - after.Did you not take advil earlier out of caution that it would blunt the vaccines effectiveness? I've read there are studies that say you shouldn't take advil/tylonal before getting a vaccine, but nothing about taking after your received your vaccine. Is there some info that I'm not aware of?

Got my vaccine an hour ago. How long before my arm starts hurting?
I took nothing for a week before my shot and I have arthritis in my knees. Long week. Waited a full 24 hours before I took anything after. Any only after I was told it was OK by a nurse.
Everything that I've read is no pain reliever before hand, and Tylenol afterward. The NSAIDs being anti-inflammatory may have some impact, especially before hand. Wasn't clear as much about afterword.
